On my one mile walk to work earlier this week, I got quite a surprise.
Water from the rain had frozen far more rapidly than I had thought it might, making my journey one of slipping and sliding which challenged both my guide dog Pippa and Me.
I hadn’t been prepared for the conditions and neglected to wear my shoe-spikes for the trip.
About mid way to the station, it dawned on me that I should have taken the extra minutes required to do just that.
In life it seems we can never be too-prepared.
But ultimately the fear of the unknown or what might lie ahead can’t cause us to be afraid to take those first few steps either…even if they might end in a fall.
That’s the way I see it.
