You may or not you agree with President Trump’s announced decision to withdraw our nation from the Paris Climate Change Accord.
You shouldn’t be surprised that then-candidate Trump said on the campaign trail during his successful bid for the White House that that’s what he would do if he were elected.
So the shock I’ve heard expressed by opponents is what surprises ME.
What may be the most shocking element in the debate over whether it’s a good move, or a bad one, is that a major U.S. politician running for office actually did what he said he would do.
There were no excuses and no indications that there really wasn’t any way to remove the country from an agreement signed by 192 other nations.
Just an announcement that this country would no longer be a part of what the President said was a bad deal that unfairly punished the U.S. for it’s industrial development.
I’ll leave the analysis as to whether our world’s climate will be forever impacted by the decision to the experts because I suspect I won’t be around long enough to notice a difference.
That’s the way I see it.
