Why is that song stuck in my head? It’s called an EARWORM. Defined as a” catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a persons mind after it’s no longer playing.” You don’t suffer from those as much as others when you work in radio , because we are constantly hearing something new or different during the day. Consequently, one song doesn’t get stuck in our brain, all songs are stuck in our brain. I do have a couple myself “Old Days” by Chicago and the theme from “The Munsters” TV show. As a joke, I like to create earworms in family members. I whistle or hum a tune near them until they repeat it back. Then later in the day I will hear them still whistling that tune-Success! Here are some popular earworms: “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey and” Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. Got ya!
