I couldn’t help but wonder, as I read the news item below this morning, what type of person it would be who’d have a yard-stick at the ready while eating lunch.
“(Chicago, IL) — A federal judge is tossing a lawsuit settlement claiming Subway foot-long subs aren’t actually a foot long as quote, “utterly worthless.” The class-action suit claimed that the sandwich chain was cheating customers by providing subs that were only 11-inches long. Subway argued that regardless of how long the bread ends up, the same amount of toppings are given to every customer, with extra toppings offered free of charge. The company also promised it would try to make sure the foot-longs were actually foot-longs in the future. The Chicago 7th Circuit Court of Appeals threw out a 535-thousand dollar settlement, though, and said the company didn’t deserve to be sued over this.”
It’s pretty obvious to me there are some people who really need something productive to do and that doesn’t include measuring sandwiches…
That’s the way I see it.
