Can 2017 be the year we just learn to get along?
2016 was a generally positive year for me largely I think because I chose to make it that way.
But, there’s no question that 2016 may be remembered most for the level of disharmony we’ve seen politically and socially.
Whether we want to admit it or not, it seems ours has become a nation full of people who are sure that our opinion is the only correct one and anyone who doesn’t think, or look or act like us, just has it all wrong.
I’m hoping that somehow in 2017 we’ll be a little less willing to criticize before we know the facts, a little more willing to listen to viewpoints that are different than ours, and perhaps even consider that there are things we might learn from those different than ourselves.
Our ancestors learned how to work together to build the greatest country in the world and we can work together too.
That’s the way I see it.
