Some stories that reach my desk each day make me laugh.
There are others that leave me scratching my head too, but the story below has me convinced that there is a staff of bureaucrats somewhere inside the white house who could really use something better to do than ban words and phrases from official government publications.
“(Washington, DC) — The nation’s top public health agency is being forbidden from using seven words on any official document related to budget planning. The Trump Administration told the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention this week they are not allowed to use “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based” on any document. The CDC did not give a reason as to why the words are being banned.”
I don’t know how you feel, but it strikes me that it is the actions of people and not the words they use or don’t use which are creating our country’s biggest problems.
That’s the way I see it.
