Because everyone who reads these blog posts has some sort of issue or struggle they have to deal with, I have waited until now to write about the battle our 38-year old son Eric is waging against pancreas and liver cancer he was diagnosed as having on November 6th.
Eric is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment coordinated by the James Cancer Institute at Ohio State University.
Eric comes from a long line of fighters who don’t give up, and we remain optimistic that he’ll overcome what is to say the least a challenging time.
Word that some very dear friends are planning a March 31st benefit in Delphos for Eric and his family compels me to break my silence about what has been a diagnosis which has turned our world upside down.
We are aware that many are praying for Eric and his family, and we are most grateful for the support.
Sadly, cancer continues to ravage too many families and we’re just the latest to feel it’s effects.
That’s the way I see it.
