It’s going to be ridiculously hot and humid in the area today and in a weird kind of way that’s kind of comforting. Comforting, because it’s supposed to be hot and humid in early July. We’re supposed to complain about the heat and humidity and to look for any excuse we can find to stay in in anywhere that’s air conditioned. In the Coronavirus pandemic era we are living through the weather seems to be one of very few things in our lives that hasn’t changed dramatically. I heard my first Locusts Tuesday night. They were starting to sing their summer songs right on schedule. With so many facets of our lives changed this year because of the pandemic: vacation plans canceled: concerns about whether there will or won’t be fall sports among them, It’s nice to think there are a few things in what some like to call this new normal that are normal. In the meantime, we’ll sweat and complain about the weather today, just like we always do in July. That’s the way I see it.
