2020..It’s all about Sauerkraut
By the time the sun was thinking about coming out this morning I had been typing 2020 on files that I have to input for our programming this morning for about 5 hours, but I will admit I still had to think about getting the date right for the first dozen or so of them. It is hard to believe that we’ve turned the page on another year and another decade for that matter but it will become old hat for many of us very soon. As a people we love traditions and one of my personal favorites is having a meal that includes Sausage and Sauerkraut on New Years Day. I can’t say that I understand that tradition any more than I do why many Americans celebrate Saint Patrick’s day with kegs and eggs, or why we take the day off on “labor day” but whether or not the New years Day meal brings our family good luck during the year ahead it is supposed to, it sure makes for some very delicious eating. That’s the way I see it.
