An event coming up on Saturday July 14th promises to combine some fun and fundraising for a very good cause.
HCF facilities in this area will be hosting their 3rd annual “Ride To Remember” poker run, with proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s association.
I don’t know about you, but other than cancer, Alzheimer’s is a disorder that strikes more fear in to my feeble heart than almost anything else.
I have seen it’s devastating impact on people I care for, and the experts say one out of every three seniors will die with some form of Alzheimer’s or dementia.
HCF’s Daniel Lee will talk about the fund raising poker run on community focus on all of our stations airing this Sunday.
In the meantime, you can learn more by checking out any of their company facility’s facebook pages.
If I could ride a motorcycle, I think the poker run would be a very worthwhile way to spend some time on the 14th of July.
That’s the way I see it.
