If you’d like to spend a little time reliving your younger days, Delphos will be the place to be this Friday night.
The Delphos Canal Commission, Delphos Postal Museum, and Delphian Social Club, are inviting everyone to a “cruise-in” night in down town Delphos from 7:00PM until 9:00 PM
What could be more fun than driving down city streets at 2 miles an hour, the way it was done until “cruising” was suspended by the city back in the mid 1990’s?
The museums will be selling $10.00 cruising licenses as a fund raiser, and that purchase will entitle you to a discount to enter another event as the Delphian Social Club hosts the first of 3 planned summer outdoor events.
These events feature live music, food, and refreshments in an empty lot they recently helped to purchase at Fourth and Main Streets in Delphos.
I might also suggest that on your way to the cruise night, you stop by the A&W restaurant where they’re hosting a Friday night throwback car hop promotion, with girls dressed in 1950’s attire, serving your food and drinks on a tray at your car, the way they did until the mid 1970’s.
I only hope predicted showers and thunderstorms stay away, and that you’ll join my bride and I for a little old-fashioned fun in Delphos this Friday night.
That’s the way I see it.
