Add being a nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court bench like Amy Coney Barrett to the long and growing things I’d have no interest in, even if I were qualified to be a justice, which I will assure you I am not. Sitting as one of 9 justices on the nation’s highest court comes with a lot of power and prestige, but I don’t think many or any of us would want anything to do with the excruciating background investigations and constant badgering from opponents that Barrett has faced. Whether or not you agree with President Trump’s election nomination of Barret, and whether or not you agree with what we are lead to believe are her positions on issues like abortion, I think if you’ve watched any of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s confirmation hearing process this week you would have to agree that she seems cool under pressure,, is well-spoken and seems to be unflapped by any of the questions she’s been asked. She seems confident prepared and willing to answer any questions put to her. But, the confirmation process and the questioning will continue today. That’s the way I see it.
