Bob’s 12 Day’s of Christmas: Day 7… I miss the toy’s of past…
Considering the dislike or outright disdain being expressed in much of the national media toward guns and gun owners, news that the Nerf Gun is one of the most popular toys this Christmas season is pretty interesting. As a kid I remember fondly getting presents that included cap guns and a cork gun that shot rubber corks that could be replaced with mud balls that you could fire at your siblings and last time I check I don’t think I was emotionally scarred by those gifts. An online review website used Google searches to determine it’s list of the most popular toys being purchased. Joining the Nerf gun on that list are a new high-tech entry to the toy market the Nintendo Switch and traditional favorites which have been around a long time like Lego Sets and Play-doh sets. It’s nice to know that at least some of the toys we enjoyed as kids are still finding favor today along with gifts we’d have to ask our kids or grand kids how to use. That’s the way I see it.
