Word that the regulators with the Food And Drug Administration had given what was called Narrow Emergency Authorization for administration of a covid19 booster shot developed by Pfizer announced yesterday is sure to spark a new round of conversations and discussions about whether to get a booster shot among the people considered to be our nations’ health experts and everyday folks like you and me. In the coming days adults 65 years of age and older, and other adults considered at high risk of virus exposure or complications will be eligible to get a booster shot but for the time being at least only to those who got the initial 2-shot vaccine series created by Pfizer. The narrow emergency authorization won’t please our president who said recently that he wanted a booster shot available to all adults by earlier this month. Will there be a significant interest among eligible adults to roll up their sleeves to get a booster shot? Only time will tell. Pfizer certainly hopes so! In a world filled with uncertainty when it comes to the coronavirus, that’s one thing we can be sure of. That’s the way I see it..
