If you’ve read some or all of the blogs I’ve posted during the past year, you can understand why our little family will be more than glad to kiss 2018 goodbye!!
Like many others, we’ve had what I think I would say is more than several years of tough times rolled all into one year.
But because we are optimists at heart, it’s also accurate to say that not all of the happenings in the year drawing to a close have been sad ones.
The outpouring of community support shown during the March benefit for our late sons’ family was amazing!
The dozens of cards and well wishes I received following my December bladder cancer surgery has been equally amazing and overwhelming.
It’s also been fun to watch our grandchildren grow, and the joy they’ve brought us can’t be measured.
To loosely quote the bible, I hope the year ahead will include more time for laughing and less time for weeping within the Ulm family.
And I wish the same for all of you too.
That’s the way I see it.
