The Cporonavirus Pandemic has turned the world we live in upside down to be sure, but but some things haven’t changed from the pre-pandemic era. On the opening Sunday of the NFL season yesterday, but the Browns and the Bengals lost. The Browns were crushed by the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bengals can thank a missed last-second chip shot field goal for a loss to the Los Angeles Raiders. I’ll admit I payed at least a little attention to both games. Not enough to stop what I was doing, but enough to know the Browns played like they always seem to, and the Bengals couldn’t find enough luck to get a win. I didn’t start paying attention to either game until after the National Anthem had been played And perhaps because I wasn’t subjected to the visual images of political statements on player helmets or on the game fields, It was just a normal football Sunday for me at a time when almost nothing else seemed normal. That’s the way I see it..
