So just how cold is it out there?
I went looking for phrases that have been used by the famous, and the not so famous, to describe just how cold it is.
Below are some of my favorites—
“Colder than a banker’s heart on foreclosure day at the widows’ and orphans’ home.”
“Colder than a brass toilet seat in the Yukon.”
“It’s colder than a polar bears toenails out there.”
“It’s so cold, milk cows gave icicles.”
There are of course others some of which were passed along to me by older relatives in the past, but they’re probably not suitable for some of my blog readers.
Suffice it to say that it’s real cold
but we’re holding out the promise that it will warm up by the weekend..
That’s the way I see it..
