Another of the things we used to take for granted until the pandemic hit will be coming back today. That’s travel to Canada. The Canadian border is reopening to Americans for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Since then travel had been restricted to only those with essential reasons to head north. Americans who are fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus can travel in to Canada as long as they show a negative covid19 test. They can avoid a 2-week quarantine that will still be required of the unvaccinated and those who test positive. Restrictions on Canadians wanting to travel in to the United States are expected to be lifted by next week end. The Canadian economy has been suffering because of a lack of U.S. travel and tourism dollars, and Americans will no doubt be welcomed back with open arms. Canadian cities and businesses will be happy to see us and our money once again.\ That’s the way I see it.
