As I write this blog, the 2019 Delphos canal days parade is passing by our studios in Delphos
and it’s generated the kind of large crowds that have been a part of every one of the festivals events this weekend.
The parade and other events on the final day of the 3.5 day celebration put a real nice cap on the summer season again this year.
The work of countless volunteers and organizations far too numerous to mention filled the down town streets
since Thursday evening, and raised lots of money for local organizations and projects through out the year.
Rick Burgei and I had a blast serving as masters of ceremony for the annual canal days bingo, our Phil Austin was MC for the annual toast to the city event, both blessed with record turn outs. Our own Rick Miller was honored to be the event parade marshal. the only thing bad about canal days this year, is that it’s going to be real tough to top it next year.
But I know the people involved will do there best to do so.
That’s the way I see it.
