One of the best weekends of the entire year in Delphos is right around the corner.
Volunteers have been meeting since earlier this year planning what will be the annual Delphos Canal Days event.
A 12th annual “Toast To The City” with a 1970’s theme Thursday night kicks off an event that will run all the way through early Sunday evening.
Highlights of this years celebration include the annual battle of the businesses, and music from “Brother Believe Me” Friday night.
There’s a pet parade, a host of other kids activities, and a fishing derby for the youngsters Saturday morning.
Basket bingo and a car show Saturday afternoon, and music Saturday night from Cleveland’s “Tricky Dick And The Cover Ups”.
Sundays events include the morning 5-K run, and an afternoon parade ,which has turned into one of the biggest in the area.
The Canal Days committee does a tremendous job in planning and putting on the event and best of all, all of the funds they raise go toward local organizations that serve the community throughout the year.
Look for our very own Childers Media Group “multi-tasker” Billy Elvis from Fun 107.1, 104.9 The Eagle, and 93.1 The Fan broadcasting “live” from the event tent on Friday from 4PM-6PM and Phil Austin from 104.9 The Eagle Saturday afternoon from 4PM until 6PM during the Car Show downtown.
