When it comes to Christmas music, you won’t find many people who will say they don’t like at least a little of it.
Regardless of what is going on in your life as the holidays approach, it seems to me that the right Christmas song at the right time can brighten your spirits.
Well at least I know that’s the case for me.
I’m not a huge fan of the “all christmas all the time” formats because you’ll generally hear the same song about every 90 minutes at most with not a great deal of attention to variety or any material less than 10 years old.
Personally, I’m kind of a traditionalist when it comes to the kind of Christmas music I’ll choose to play from my personal library.
But I’ll admit that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more of a fan of material from country performers.
I’m glad that we still call Christmas music Christmas music, but I’ve noticed over the years that you’ll hear a lot more songs about snowflakes and Mistletoe than Jesus shepherds and wise men.
Perhaps that’s because wise men are getting harder and harder to find.
That’s the way I see it.
