Cleaning out that closet…..OUCH!!!!!!!
It’s not nice enough these days to do much outside, and my bride and I are not much for binge watching TV programs, so the extra time we have these days is spent “reorganizing” We call it reorganizing because it’s too early for Spring Cleaning. We’ve spent time getting rid of things we don’t need any more, don’t have any sentimental value or are just worn out. My roll has been some wall washing and helping to purge our closets and dresser drawers of clothing that doesn’t fit me any more. Seems I’ve packed on a few pounds since cancer surgery especially since we had a party shed built in our back yard last summer. So we’ve packed several bags of things that someone else will better fit in to. Rather than sending tings like my 2002 OSU championship shirt, or my 1995 Cleveland Indians Central Division championship wardrobe to the street in the garbage, we’ve donated them to the Interfaith Thrift shop in Delphos. HOWEVER my partner in crime Rick Burgei says he will be buried in his Dan Marino #13 Jersey and will NOT give that up. If you’re involved in a “reorganization” project, I’d encourage you to do the same. They’ll use the funds they raise selling things we no longer need, or can’t fit in to, to help the less fortunate in our community all year long. That’s the way I see it.
