The people who planned and ran Sunday’s 5th annual “Organ Donor Dash” in Delphos are among those who help to make this such a great place to live.
More than 200 people, who weren’t afraid of a weather forecast promising thunderstorms, gathered at Delphos Jefferson Senior High School yesterday to run or walk in a 5K event created to call attention to the need for more organ donations.
It was a record turn out exceeding the previous totals by a significant number.
A special shout out goes out to Emily Dienstberger of Delphos who ran the event in 21 minutes and 20 seconds, 34 seconds ahead of everyone else.
Putting on an event like the “Organ Donor Dash” takes a lot of preparation and work.
Hopefully the organizers know how much their work is appreciated.
That’s the way I see it.
