It probably shouldn’t surprise us to know that one of the issues road crews have in some northwest Ohio counties have had as they try to reopen roads closed by high water this week is the number of stranded vehicles on those roads.
I guess the “road-closed” signs that have been so numerous on many rural and some state highways this week are hard to read, or motorists are just in too big of a hurry to stay out of harms way.
Once again this morning I was asked to pass along a suggestion from law enforcement to avoid driving on roadways closed by high water because the consequences can be serious in seconds. I would think that that would fall under the category of common sense, but I don’t drive so what would I know. That’s the way I see it.
