Easter Sunday….BUT long term will give us many more Holidays
Easter weekend activities like worship services and big family get-together’s will take a significant hit this year because of the stay-at-home order and non-essential business closures in effect in Ohio but there will still be plenty of time to make Easter Sunday special for the kids and grand kids at your house. For some obvious reasons I didn’t have much to do with coloring hard-boiled Easter eggs but I did learn that applying messy paint to them did provide some quality family time and entertainment and some good eating too, even if the family complained about shall I say the fragrant air that often followed consumption. Back in the day when we had kids who eagerly awaited the candy the Easter bunny would bring to our house, he would leave behind written clues the kids had to use to find their baskets filled with treats. It allowed for some good reading practice and made the event more of an excursion. It was kind of our version of the Easter egg hunt. By the way there’s nothing to prevent you from hiding Easter eggs outside your home for the kids or grand kids to find.
Like most other things these days,Easter weekend at your home will be as good or as bad as you choose to make it. That’s the way I see it.
