A judge in Marietta Georgia either has a lot of time on his hands with little else to do, or he’s one of a growing number of jurists in our country who’d like to have a new amendment added to the U.S. constitution which reads “just because I said so.” Cobb County superior court judge Robert Leonard has decreed in an official order that elves on the shelf are no longer welcome in his county, and are immediately banned there…The judge contends that elf on the shelf displays which have been growing in popularity each Christmas season pose a risk to the health and emotional well being of children. The elf on the shelf is based on the concept that a toy elf reports on the actions of kids to Santa Claus. The judge calls his order issued last week a gift to tired parents. I’m hoping judge Leonard was just trying to create a Twitter stir, something his order banning a Christmas tradition has certainly done. That’s the way I see it..
