Air travel is slowly getting back to normal these days but the one thing you won’t find when you’re flying  with a major carrier  with your covid19 mask on is alcohol served by flight attendants. Alcohol service, suspended at the start of the pandemic, won’t be returning for at least the next several weeks  and one reasons is that unruly passengers are increasingly making others on flights uncomfortable because they don’t know how to behave.   Signs that acting like a jerk is becoming an increasing issue aren’t confined to the friendly skies either. In the past week, an unruly fan threw a bottle of water at an NBA player, and a fan who apparently showed up for a Washington   Wizards play off game without  any common sense, slapped a backboard before he was escorted from  the arena. I’m not sure if the increasing evidence of bad  behavior is the result of the fact that some people weren’t instructed on how to act in public, with a harsh spanking when necessary when they were growing up, or the fact that some people just live for a few seconds of social media exposure, but whatever the reason acting like a jerk is something an increasing number of people seem to embrace as the way they want to live. That’s very unfortunate for the rest of us. That’s the way I see it.
