The temperature in Atlanta Georgia pre-dawn today was a chilly 39 degrees. The forecast for the week leading up to Sundays Super Bowl 53 is calling for temperatures by mid week that will be nearly as brutal as those we’ll have to live with.
That’s bad news for the people who have spent the past year or more gearing up to welcome thousands of fans to the city for the game and a host of pre-game festivities.
Like other years, many of the pre-game activities this week are planned for the outdoors. The NFL goes to great pains to make the showcase an event to be remembered, and this year it may be remembered for cold weather.
Though new England Patriots fans are used to nasty winter weather, the fans of the Los Angeles Raiders certainly are not.
There complaints may be some of the louder we’ll hear during the days leading up to the big game.
Spending the money it takes to go to a Super Bowl, or even travel to the Super Bowl site aren’t in my budget but at least it will be warm in our living rooms when game time finally comes Sunday evening.
that’s the way I see it..
