One of the best things about what we loosely describe as the work we do here on the radio, is the chance we get to use our voices to support charitable organizations. That’s what I’ll get to do this evening, serving as MC for a telecast fund raiser for a charity very close to my heart. Heart Beat of Lima will benefit from funds raised during a program that airs live this evening at 6:00 O’ Clock on WTLW TV 44 in Lima. Many years ago, a potential career doing news on TV interested me for a time, but I could never figure out how I would remember to look at the camera, or read a TV teleprompter. I gave up on the idea fairly quickly. Response to the television event, moved to the WTLW studios from the Civic Center in Lima because of the pandemic last year was tremendous And the people involved in the Heart Beat charity hope that will be the case again tonight. That’s the way I see it.
