Where is Al Gore when my drive-way needs shoveled out? The unusually early November blast of Arctic air and snow makes many of us wondering if we’re in for the kind of winter we remember as kids with snow that started prior to Thanksgiving Day and stayed around until March. There’s certainly no evidence of climate change in western Ohio today is there! As the snow and ice crunched on my way to work this morning I was thinking about the people who have to deal with winter weather in a far more significant way than I do. The snow-plow drivers, law enforcement officers and service techs who get called out when bitterly cold temperatures and ice and snow come calling do deserve our respect. When you arrive at work as we did, to find out that the heating system has decided it’s a good time to stop working, it’s nice to know there are people who will give up sleep to help us. That’s the way I see it..
