There’s something about the possibility of a big lottery prize pay off that seems to get even those with the  least imagination to dream about what they would do if they were the next big jackpot winner. There’s been plenty of reason to dream this week! Tonight’s Megamillions jackpot will be worth at least 750 million dollars, and tomorrow night’s Powerball jackpot will be worth at least 640 million.  The prospect that we could get rich quick is very appealing to many folks and I’ll admit I’m part of that group. Never mind the fact that my chance of being a big jackpot winner is only slightly better than the chance that I will ever see, and that the chance you could win a big jackpot and stay anonomous in a town our size is at least equally as small.   I justify my ticket buying, which occurs only when jackpots get well  in to triple-digits, by saying “if you don’t play you can’t win.” If I did win a big lottery prize I would hire a driver to take me to work every morning but I would still come to work. Call me odd, but if I worked a 9 or 10 hour day I would still have plenty of hours every day to figure out how to spend all of that cash. That’s the way I see it.
