I can’t imagine what families who’ve lost loved ones serving in Afghanistan and those who are now living with physical and mental issues caused by their service during our nations’ nearly 20 year long military involvement there must feel when they see and hear information about what has been a swift Taliban take-over of Afghanistan. The terror group American forces battled since the days following the 911 terror attack in the U.s. claims complete control after the fall of the Afghan capital. President Biden is being sharply critized for his decision to withdraw all American forces from Afghanistan, but to be fair his predecessor Donald Trump also wanted to with draw our troops. What will be the subject of debate for months to come is whether President Biden’s announcement of a time table for total withdrawel within weeks lead to the swift Taadvance and whether the administration was wise in deciding to leave millions of dollars in our military equipment behind there. That’s equipment that is now in the control of the terror group. That’s the way I see it.
