There are a bunch of our neighbors and friends who deserve a shout out. They are the volunteers who are working hard trying to provide the rest of us with the summer time events and activities we’ve come to expect in this Covid19 pandemic era. Some traditional events have been canceled altogether but people planning others find themselves trying to understand and deal with long and complicated regulations from the state that have been implemented to control outdoor gatherings like festivals and fairs. Despite some recent rule relaxations their work isn’t getting any easier. The hope is that if there isn’t a significant spike in Coronavirus cases rules and regs may be further eased moving forward but those planning activities this summer can’t wait for that to happen. They have to act based on what they know right now. Hopefully a lot of us will turn out for events that are held this summer because they are very important to communities through out our area. That’s the way I see it.
