One of the reasons that I’ve made the work I do a career is the chance we get to make life a little brighter or better for the people who listen to us.
A note Rick Burgei and I received this morning via email made our day.
It came from a relative of a 6-year old boy who suffers from autism who was the winner of a weekly drawing we have every friday for Pats doughnuts gift certificates from folks who’s birthdays have been submitted to us during the previous week.
It told of how the child reacted positively with the news that he’d won, and how excited he was to be a prize winner.
The thought that we made someone’s day, in such a simple way, is the reason we get up while nearly everyone else is sleeping to do the work we do.
That little boy has no idea how happy we were that we chose his name in a random drawing.
If you’d like to have your anniversary or birthday mentioned during the Bob and Sheri Show at approximately 7:10 weekday mornings, just follow the appropriate links from our website.
Who knows? You might be our next weekly winner.
That’s the way I see it.
