Mandates will cause: NO FUN, Thousands of $$$$ of lost money for charities etc……
The impact that Covid 19 related restrictions has had on Ohio’s businesses, industries and workers has been dramatic to be sure, but there’s another consequence that will be hard to calculate. That’s all of the community projects that won’t benefit from funds that would have been raised during festivals events and other activities which have been canceled or will be canceled this summer. State mandates requiring social distancing and limiting crowd sizes at events have prompted a long list of cancellations so far and volunteers working to plan events scheduled for later this summer find themselves uncertain whether restrictions will be eased or lifted to allow them to move forward. Events that won’t happen would have generated literally thousands of dollars for community charities and causes and that money will be difficult if not impossible to replace. It’s just another consequence of the ongoing effort to control the spread of the Corona Virus. 2020 will certainly go in to the books as a year that was marked by things we weren’t allowed to do. That’s the way I see it.
