Mass GATHERINGS are OK for sports BUT NOT BARS and RESTAURANTS??????
A decision from State health department regulators yesterday is good news for some fans of the Cleveland Browns but it does raise I think some question about the rules and regulations we’ve all been living under since the start of the pandemic in March. After first decreeing that no more than 6,000 fans could watch the Browns play in person, department officials announced yesterday that that number could increase to 12,000 starting with the teams next home game. This at a time when we’re all being told that the limits on crowd sizes imposed because of covid19 concerns earlier this year should be considered to still be in effect. Cleveland Browns stadium is a big place and I’m sure that social distancing was taken in to consideration when the new larger limit was approved but many activities in our area, in some pretty large and open spaces have been canceled altogether because of crowd limits and those cancelations are continuing. I’d call the messaging on this issue from the state conflicting to say the least. That’s the way I see it.
