May In Ohio – Bob Ulm
Temperatures we woke up to this morning were colder here than in Anchorage, Alaska and the capital of Iceland!
And the forecast shows little sign of giving us readings any time early this week that will be anywhere near normal.
It’s not because we’ve been procrastinating that we didn’t have any new outdoor plants to cover with newspapers to protect them against the overnight cold snap.
But rather because we’ve been busy helping our kids with projects over the past 2 or 3 weeks, and I consider that a good thing.
I’m sure that warmer temperatures will arrive one of these days, and there will be plenty of time to plant the flowers my bride enjoys so much.
I’m hoping weather suitable for opening the pool will become a reality later this month too.
I do feel for all of the farmers who are going to have to replant spring crops washed out by last weeks monsoon.
It is early May in Ohio, and I guess we’ve just got to deal with it.
That’s the way I see it!
