Every once in awhile something happens that reminds us that we often take too many things completely for granted. If you live inside the city of Delphos we learned yesterday just how important water is to us when we lost water service for several hours yesterday afternoon and last evening because of a water main break. Like many other folks I’m sure I caught myself turning on the water faucet spicket and reaching for the flush handle on the toilet just figuring water would come out because :well: it always does. Not wishing to gross out the people around us today, my grand sons, son-in-law and I resorted to a bath in our swimming pool last night. We also found that pool water in a bucket made toilet flushing possible while we waited for a return of the water service. Those of us who once again have water in our homes and businesses I know are grateful for the work of Delphos city crews who repaired the water main break so we can take water service for granted once again. That’s the way I see it.
