I hope this weekend included enough rest and relaxation to recharge your batteries for another week of work.
Mine included what some might regard as too much labor and not enough time for R&R.
But the work I did with other family members to take down a building on Sunday was, quite frankly, lots of fun.
I don’t think I’m too unusual, but as a guy getting to attack a structure of wood and cement blocks with a crowbar and sledgehammer is quite therapeutic.
With just enough worry about something collapsing on you to keep you on your toes, taking aim at walls and rafters is different enough from my regular work to be considered fun.
I’m not near tough enough to make building demolition a career choice, but I enjoyed doing it.
I’m not much of a builder, but I can tear things apart with the best of them.
That’s the way I see it.
