The idea of promoting a door to door campaign to convince Americans who’ve not yet gotten vaccinated against Covid19 to do so, expressed by our president during a briefing Tuesday, may shed some light on just how out of touch the people who run our government in Washington are with the way things are here in middle America. The notion that anyone has found it difficult to find a vaccine opportunity, or inconvenient to get vaccinated is by this time I think ridiculous. Americans have had months to decide whether or not they wanted to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus. Millions of us have done so. Millions of others have not. It seems unlikely to me that any number of presidential pep talks or knocks on the door from a vaccine promoter, no matter how well intentioned they may be, will convince those who’ve decided they don’t want to get vaccinated to do something they don’t want to do. That’s the way I see it.
