Whether or not you agree with Peter Strzok’s politics, news that he’d been fired from his FBI position for sending anti-Trump text messages to a fellow worker who just happened to be his mistress a full 2 years ago shouldn’t come as a surprise.
The fact that it took this long can only be a product of the fact that his employer is Uncle Sam.
Those of us in private enterprise know, or should know, that any email or text message, Facebook or Twitter post we send can come back to haunt us.
The thought that an agent who’d moved far enough up the food chain to head a major investigation into allegations of Russian meddling in our presidential election process, would be bold enough to text derogatory messages about someone who might be his boss, either speaks to his certainty that he couldn’t be fired, or his certainty that Donald Trump would never be elected.
I’ve read the now former FBI agent has established a “Go Fund Me” account hoping for donations to pay his legal bills.
I’m pretty sure he’ll have no shortage of people willing to contribute in this very divided country.
That’s the way I see it.
