SOTU Response More Partisan Than Ever – Bob Ulm
Here’s a shock! A poll conducted on Americans in the hours following last nights’ State Of The Union speech from President Trump, showed that by wide margins Republicans who watched it had an extremely favorable reaction to it, while those who identify themselves as Democrats thought it was terrible.
In these days when those things that divide us seem to far outweigh those which unite us, that news should come as no surprise at all.
It’s interesting that most of the social media buzz prior to the speech last night concerned whether democrats in the U.s. House chambers would applaud anything Donald Trump said, or just sit on their hands.
The stories I read this morning described the reaction to Trump’s remarks as more partisan than following any other State of The union address since 2,001. What we won’t know until later today is whether a majority of Americans decided to watch the speech, or some cable program or Hallmark movie.
That may be the most interesting information of all.
That’s the way i see it..
