SUPER BOWL, National Championship Games MOVE them to SATURDAY NIGHTS..
Change.org is a popular internet website where anyone can post virtually anything to try to get other social media users to join them in a cause of any kind. For example, one change.org petition i read about earlier this week demanded answers from the secret service as to why an agent shot and killed a dog he thought was going to attack him in Brooklyn. That petition garnered more than 10 thousand signatures from people around the world. There is one change.org petition I’m thinking about signing. It was posted by a teen ager from New York state, and it demands that the Super Bowl game be moved from Sunday to Saturday. More than 30 thousand people had signed Frank Ruggeri’s petition by early today. I’ve complained several times that the Super Bowl starts too late each Sunday evening for football fans in the eastern U.s. Experts say absenteeism on the Monday after the Super Bowl costs American businesses 3 billion dollars a year in lost productivity. Moving the Super Bowl from Sunday to Saturday isn’t just a good idea, I think it would mean a big increase in business for bars and restaurants and a significant boost in sales of food and refreshments that are a part of the game watching experience. That’s the way I see it.
