There are people who will complain that the big money New York Yankees have advanced to take on the Boston Red Sox in the American League Playoffs, but I am not one of them.
Sure I feel like most baseball fans do in that the Yankees have an unfair advantage over most of the rest of the teams in Major League Baseball, like my Cleveland Indians, but I’m happy their moving on because the folks who run MLB will do their best to make sure that Yankees games air in evening prime time.
That means games involving my Indians and the Houston Astros, which begin on Friday, will be happening earlier in the day when I can enjoy them.
Game one for the “Tribe” starts Friday afternoon at 2:06 in Houston, and I should get to enjoy the entire thing before the start of Friday night High School football.
For once in my life I can say thanks to the Yankees and the Redsox, and mean it.
That’s the way I see it.
