My blog this time around is a pleasure to write as I congratulate all of the people who were involved in making the 60th annual Delphos Canal Days celebration a tremendously successful event.
Thanks in no small part to some excellent weather, the turn out was great for all of the events over the 3-day festival.
This includes record numbers for both the Battle Of The Businesses, and 5-K run/walk.
Only a prank from some idiot, who sparked concern and a temporary evacuation of a part of the festival area on Sunday when he was seen placing what turned out to be a brick wrapped in electrical tape near a down town intersection, put any sort of damper on what by all accounts was the biggest and best Canal Days event to date.
It’s great to see a community working together to make something happen.
That’s the way I see it.
