Results of a new survey about Americans reveals that if you are worried that unexpected medical costs may wipe out your savings, you are not alone.
The Kaiser Family Foundation sampling says 67 percent of the Americans who were asked, worry more about unexpected medical costs than they do future costs of things like food, housing, or gasoline.
Medical costs, and the uncertainty of insurance availability for the vast majority of us, make medical expenses a tremendous worry.
It’s one that can wipe out a lifetime of savings in a matter of weeks, or months.
What the study doesn’t detail is any solution to the dread related to catastrophic medical costs.
It’s not real heart warming to realize that the companies and government leaders who’ve left us with the health care mess we have to deal with, are the same people who’ll be dictating the future of health care.
That’s the way I see it.
