With everything we’ve been through during this pandemic year of 2,020, it may be harder than normal for you to find what we refer to as The Christmas Spirit. There have however been a large number of volunteers who have been working hard during the days leading up to Christmas to make the season brighter in our community. I can think of the volunteers involved with the Delphos Community Christmas project, the Optimist club, the St. Vincent DePaul society and the Interfaith thrift shop just to name a few. Because of the generosity of people who live in our area, they have been able to assist families facing difficulties, some of them made worse because of the pandemic. It’s important I think to remember that at a time when people were facing difficulties we can’t imagine The birth of a little baby boy in a manger in Bethlehem changed the world forever. That’s the way I see it.
