It might be a surprise to some of you, but the “get well” card is alive and well.
In fact, I’m guessing it might be the one staple of the U.S. mail service that’s still generating a lot of work for our mail carriers.
Since I disclosed information about my current battle with bladder cancer, I’m I’ve been surprised at the number of listeners and friends who’ve taken the time to drop a card wishing me well in the mail.
I’ve come to understand that the “thinking of you card” is the way a lot of folks choose to send their support.
The cards really mean a lot, and I appreciate them, even if I am yet to get one in braille.
That’s the way I see it.
