They won’t have time to do it because they’ll be busy working in their businesses, at their service jobs or with their families but the dozens of volunteers to worked to make the Delphos Canal Days celebration a huge success should take a few minutes today to pat themselves on the back for helping to put on a celebration that lived up to it’s promise of being one of the last and biggest outdoor events in the region. I’m sure they were gratified by the large numbers of people who turned out for the more than 2 dozen activities that were part of the celebration. I was most impressed by the number of younger people who were involved in putting on the 64th Canal Days celebration, And the number of voices of people I didn’t recognize as they said hello which tells me that the celebration drew a lot of people from outside the immediate area. The funds raised through Canal Days will go to support community projects and local groups through out the year, and that’s all thanks to the volunteers who helped to make Canal Days happen. That’s the way I see it..
