Over the weekend as I recuperated from a 3rd round of Chemotherapy pretty much sitting around the house and resting up for a new work week, I took the time to enjoy some of the Brewers versus Dodgers baseball game.
I was able to hear the Major League playoff game by listening in to the broadcast on the Brewers radio network from veteran announcer Bob Uecker.
At 83, Uecker, who may be best known for various acting rolls including that of Harry Doyle in the Major League movies, is still going strong.
His delivery was crisp, and his style was unmistakably his own.
Hearing him be as spot on as he was, kind of gave me confidence that a long life could be ahead for me.
However, I’m pretty safe in saying that you won’t hear me on the radio when I’m 83.
That’s the way I see it.
